Abstract:
The nuclear spin-lattice relaxation times of C-13 and N-14 as well as the nuclear Overhauser enhancement factor have been measured as a function of temperature for liquid 3-acetylpyridine. Principal components of the relational diffusion tenser have been determined. The results are discussed in terms of relative influence of molecular shape and attractive dipolar forces on anisotropy of the molecular reorientations.
